1 Handmade Porcelain Beads White Crystalline Nugget Ceramic Bead 24mm x 26mm. A hand shaped and “hand painted bead”:hhttp://www.bigbeadlittlebead.com/kwsearch.php?t=11&onlyInStock=on&kw=hand+painted with irregular crystalline facets in the white porcelain pooled with a white glaze which is then wiped to create texture. These focal beads are made from self-glazing bisque or biscuit porcelain, which is also known commercially as parian.
Parian is named for its resemblance to the immaculate white marble from the Greek Island of Paros.
The production of these ceramic beads takes several days as they need to be fired, hand painted with glaze and fired again. The second firing is at 1240 degrees which makes these beads very hard and robust. Each parian bead is created individually so they will vary in appearance and size.
