1 Handmade Porcelain Beads Antler Brown Flower Buds Ceramic Bead 17mm x 20mm. Hand shaped and hand painted beads made from white porcelain with an organic grey brown glaze. These ceramic beads resemble the cupped shape of a flower bud unfolding. They are made from self-glazing bisque or biscuit porcelain, which is also known commercially as parian.
Parian is named for its resemblance to the immaculate white marble from the Greek Island of Paros.
The production of these handmade focal beads takes several days as they need to be fired, hand painted and fired again. The second firing is at 1240 degrees which makes these beads very hard and robust. Each parian bead is created individually and will vary in appearance and size.
