Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing your order. Placing your order confirms that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions. Please retain a copy of these terms and your order for future reference.

Placing An Order & Payment Methods

• To place an order with BigBeadLittleBead, simply select the quantity of items that you require and click on the ‘Add to Basket’ button. This will add the items to your ‘Bead Basket’. When you are ready to purchase click on ‘Go to Checkout’ and you will be guided through our secure payment process.

• We accept credit and debit card payments via our totally secure online facility courtesy of Worldpay and Streamline. We accept

• Our payment processes are fully automated for debit and credit card payments, but for cheque payments some manual administration is required. If you would prefer to pay by cheque please send payment for the total cost of the products, including the correct delivery charge. Make your cheque payable to Big Bead Little Bead and post to Big Bead Little Bead, 6 Ransom’s Yard, Bancroft, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 1NB. Include a print out of your completed Bead Basket or list the names and codes of the items you are ordering, your email address, telephone number and delivery address. Only cheques drawn on UK bank accounts will be accepted. Items will only be sent upon clearance of cheque.

• We are not liable to charge UK VAT, so all prices are VAT free.

• The description and price of the goods you order will be as shown on the website at the time you place your order.

• All goods are subject to availability. If after acceptance of your order Big Bead Little Bead discovers within 14 days of our acceptance that the goods selected are unavailable we may terminate the contract and refund you or recredit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.

• When you receive confirmation of an order, this is an indication that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

• Orders are typically dispatched within two business days from the date placed. If your order is placed by 3 p.m. it should be dispatched the same day. If your order is urgent, please give us a call on +44 (0)1462 438233 and we’ll do our best to meet your requirements.

Pricing Policy

BigBeadLittleBead reserves the right to change, without notice, any pricing in the case of error or in the case of manufacturers increasing the cost of materials. This includes postage rates.

Postage & Packing

• Postage Rates For European countries including the Republic Of Ireland (Royal Mail Airmail)

For orders up to £30 – £2.50
For orders up to £50 – £3.95
For orders up to £100 – £5.00
Orders over £100, postage charged at cost up to a maximum of £15. Please note that there will be a default charge of £15 applied to your order at time of payment processing. Once your order has been packaged up and weighed, Big Bead Little Bead will credit you for any difference in postage cost.

Orders over £100, postage charged at cost up to a maximum of £20. Please note that there will be a default charge of £20 applied to your order at time of payment processing. Once your order has been packaged up and weighed, Big Bead Little Bead will credit you for any difference in postage cost.

• Items are sent within the UK by Royal Mail First Class mail, please allow up to 7-10 days for delivery. Orders to be sent overseas will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail. We do not take responsibility for late or non-delivery due to factors beyond our control. Orders sent by standard post are not trackable and will NOT be replaced if lost. If you require a trackable or signed for service, please contact us and we will be happy to send your parcel by Special or Recorded Delivery (UK), or equivalent Airmail service – these services will be charged for at cost. We undertake worldwide shipping and all orders are despatched the same day or next day depending on the time the order was received.

• In the event of returning an order sent free of charge £2.95 will be deducted from any refund to cover our costs.

No Quibble Returns Policy

• We hope that you will be delighted with your purchases from Big Bead Little Bead, but if you are not totally satisfied under UK law you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods and your payment will be refunded, less deductions for post and packaging. We are not legally bound to accept goods that are returned after this date.

• Due to current EU Hygiene regulations, we regret that earring findings are non-returnable.

• Big Bead Little Bead will not cover the shipping charges incurred by your return of goods or return of goods for exchange. If an order is found to be faulty or damaged then post and packaging charges will be refunded at the discretion of Big Bead Little Bead. If returning an order sent free of postal charges, then a fee of £2.95 will be deducted from any refund to cover our costs.

• All returns must be packed properly to avoid damage or breakage, and with proof of purchase (copy of original order). If items are received in saleable condition and are not damaged we will issue a full refund.

• When returning an item please enclose a note, giving the reason for the return and quote the Order Number along with your name and address. If the item is faulty please give a full description of the fault.

• Please obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office. Big Bead Little Bead cannot be held responsible for the non-receipt of returns.

• We shall not give Credit or Refund for items which have been assembled unless the item is faulty on our part. Any item sold by cut length will not be exchanged unless item is found to be damaged or faulty. We do not accept beads that have been taken off their temporary string.

• We will refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods within 30 days starting with the day on which we receive a notice in cancellation in writing or by email from you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm but we are generally contactable by email outside of this period.

• If you are looking for a specific item that you can’t see on our site, or if you wish to purchase larger quantities of an item than are offered on our site, please contact us and we will be happy to help you out.

• We hope that you will never need to complain about our service or products, but if you do we shall endeavour to respond within five working days, and attempt to resolve all complaints within 28 days of the date your complaint is received.

Descriptions

• Descriptions are those commonly used in the trade and unless otherwise stated refer to imitation products. Colours, sizes, shapes and finishes of items may vary from batch to batch due to manufacturing processes, particularly with handmade items. This is normal and in the nature of the products. Any reference to weights and sizes are approximations only, although we do try to make them as accurate as possible. It is very difficult to show items at their actual size in photographs but we do provide an indication of the approximate size of the item at a screen resolution of 1920× 1200.

• Customers should note that due to the nature of different internet browsers and monitor settings, certain colours may appear slightly different in tone to their true colours. This is unavoidable, but we are sure that all customers will be delighted with their items upon receipt, and we are happy to exchange or refund should this not be the case. See the Returns section above.

• Dyed beads – please be aware that the dyes used for colouring beads are not always stable and if they come into contact with perfume, deodorant, body spray etc. the colour may discolour or migrate. We strongly advise that you avoid contact with these products or similar and avoid excessive handling of jewellery items. If you are likely to show sensitivity to chemical dyes then we recommend that you test items for suitability. We cannot hold ourselves responsible for any problems caused by dyed beads and in the event of any claim sellers’ liability shall in no circumstances exceed the invoice price of said goods.

• Paper beads – please be aware that although varnished to provide protection against water they should not be considered waterproof and should not be immersed in water.
