Products & Descriptions

  • Our product descriptions are those commonly used in the jewellery supply trade and unless otherwise stated refer to imitation products. Colours, sizes, shapes and finishes may vary from batch to batch due to manufacturing processes, particularly with handmade or dyed items. This is perfectly normal and in the nature of the products. Any reference to weights and measures are approximate, although we do try to make our descriptions as accurate as possible. It is technically difficult to show items at their actual size online but we do provide a visual indication with our Product Details Image, when viewed at a screen resolution of 1920 × 1200.

  • With the ability to configure desktop monitors, mobile devices and browser settings for personal preference, displayed colours will vary slightly in tone from the true nature of a product. Although we go to great efforts to colour match our images this disparity between devices is unavoidable. We are sure that you will be delighted with your items upon receipt, but we are happy to exchange or provide a refund should this not be the case.

  • Dyed products are not always stable and should they come into contact with perfume, deodorant, body sprays, or similar they may discolour or the colour may migrate. We advise that you avoid contact with these chemical products and do not handle finished jewellery pieces unnecessarily. If you are known to show sensitivity to chemical dyes then we recommend that you test items for suitability. We cannot be held responsible for any problems caused by dyed or dip coated beads and in the event of any claim our sellers’ liability shall in no circumstances exceed the invoice price of the goods purchased.

  • Our contemporary metal products comply with EU Directives governing the safe levels of nickel and lead by content (REACH). This information is communicated in all relevant Product Descriptions. However, please note that our Vintage metal products are not covered in the same way as their origins are not always known and we do not have the resources to have them tested prior to sale. Where known, we will state whether an item is nickel based or plated in our product descriptions. If you are known to show sensitivity to metals then we recommend that you test all metal items for suitability. We cannot be held responsible for any problems caused by our metal products and in the event of any claim our sellers’ liability shall in no circumstances exceed the invoice price of the goods purchased.

  • When purchasing paper beads please be aware that although they are varnished to provide protection against water they should not be considered waterproof.

  • In the interests of safety always keep jewellery components out of the reach of small children as they may present a choking hazard or may cause accidental damage.
