1x Vintage White, Garnet and Gold Wound Glass Beads 20mm. These are hand made, lampworked Japanese beads from the Meiji – Taisho era (early 1900s). They have a real feeling of fluidity and sense of the mandrel spinning. Even the shape of the bead emphasises the movement as the hole ends have been left angled. The sparkly gold lines are aventurine glass (glass with copper particles within it). 20mm is the length hole-to-hole, although this will vary a little due to their handmade nature. Diameter around the mid-section is 12mm. They are likely to have been used alongside an ojime bead.
