1 Vintage Czech Glass Beads Pink Blue Pressed Glass Fluted Teardrop Givre Beads 13mm x 10mm. These vintage Czech glass givre beads have a really attractive colour combination, with pale blue captured within a pale pink glass. The bead itself is a generous pear shaped dropper.
They measure 13mm in length hole to hole and 10mm in diameter around their widest part. The hole runs vertically.
Givre beads refers to a crystal colour or transparent bead with a swirl of interior colour similar to that found in a childs marble. These Czech glass beads are usually made using a glass encasing technique before they are pressed into moulds, and then polished. The term is attributed to glass manufacturer Swarovski derived from the French word meaning frosty.
